Stefan Wasserman was one of the victims of the sleepy sickness along with Ellie Marsten, Daniel Bustamonte, Unity Kinkaid, and thousands of other unnamed victims.
History[]
Stefan was born in Germany in 1902. At the age of 14 he enlisted in the army to fight in the Great War, lying about his age.
On June 10th, 1916, when Dream was captured by Burgess, Stefan was fighting in the Battle of Verdun. Unlike other victims, he did not fall asleep, but rather lost the ability to sleep entirely. The doctors concluded that this was a form of shell shock, but were unable to help Stefan. He went insane and committed suicide in 1918, a year after his discharge from the army.[1]
