"You made the Furies cry, they will never forgive you." ― Persephone
Persephone is the Goddess of Spring and Queen of the greek Underwold.
History[]
Orpheus, son of Dream and the muse Calliope, descends into the Underworld to bring Eurydice back from the dead. Facing Hades, Persephone, and the Erinyes (Furies), he sings a song so deeply moving that it brings tears to the eyes of all who hear it, even the most impassive entities of the realm of the dead. Persephone, as queen, remains silent but attentive, respecting the laws of hell while revealing a quiet form of compassion.
Persephone along with Hades agree to Orpheus' request to return Eurydice to him, however they told him that by the laws of the underworld Orpheus should go through the other exit of the underworld and Eurydice would follow him behind him, he told him that he could not turn to look at her or speak to her until he completely left the underworld only then would she be his again.[1]
Personality[]
Persephone has an indifferent and almost neutral personality in everything, however she respects the laws of the underworld and the natural order, in addition to loving her husband very much.
Apperance[]
Persephone appears as a figure both regal and enigmatic, bathed in a spectral light that enhances her otherworldly aura. Her skin is pale, almost ethereal, standing in stark contrast to the shadowy cavern surrounding her. She wears a flowing gown in deep green and dark tones, reminiscent of withered vegetation or the earth’s depths, evoking her deep connection to both the underworld and the natural cycle.
Her shoulders are bare, emphasizing a posture of quiet authority and grace. Her face is delicately sculpted, with refined features that radiate both power and serenity. Her dark hair is elegantly swept up, adding to her noble presence. Her gaze is deep and piercing, carrying the weight of ancient wisdom and a quiet melancholy. Her overall appearance captures the duality of her nature—goddess of renewal, and queen of the dead.
