Kate Fletcher was the CEO at Vanguard and Garry Fletcher's wife.

Kate and Garry had their anniversary lunch at the diner, where Kate ordered the usual spinach salad for the two of them, but Garry would've preferred a burger, which Kate expressed would be too fattening. After getting their orders, she questioned who Garry had been texting. He claimed it was shipping, which Kate offered to handle, but Garry accused her of constantly undermining his authority and credibility, unaware that the two of them were under the effect of John's ruby. To make matters worse, when Bette finally returned with their food, instead of the spinach salad, she brought Garry a burger, which he ate, much to Kate's disapproval.
Finish with their meal, Kate and Garry intended to leave, but John directed them back to their seats using the ruby, where Garry continued to text who he claimed was shipping, but Kate grabbed his phone from his hand and discovered otherwise. So, when Bette introduced them to Mark, who had a scheduled interview with Vanguard, Kate decided that they should have the interview in the booth. This angered Garry, who headed into the kitchen, whilst Kate stayed in the booth with Mark, with whom she had sex until Garry intervened. A fight erupted and Garry attacked Mark until being stabbed in the neck and dying. Although, the rest of them weren't far behind, with everyone in the diner taking their own life.[1]
