Joanna Lamond Lumley is an English actress. She voices Lady Johanna Constantine on the Audible original adaptation of The Sandman.
She attended the Lucie Clayton Finishing School after being turned down by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Lumley's acting career on television began in 1957, where she was cast in a minor role on Emergency-Ward 10. In 1971, she landed a recurring role in It's Awfully Bad for Your Eyes, Darling, as Samantha Ryder-Ross.
Her first major role came in 1976, where she was cast as Purdy in the British secret agent action television series The New Avengers. After the series came to an end, she starred in another series with David McCallum; Sapphire & Steel, a British television supernatural sci-fi/fantasy series.
Her other credits also include The Kenny Everett Television Show, Dr Willoughby, and Foxbusters. From 1992-2012, she appeared as Patsy in the BBC comedy television series Absolutely Fabulous.
