Beili is a former goddess, who was once the lover of Destruction. She is based on the Near Eastern mythological figure who was worshiped as both a good and evil goddess by the people of the ancient Near East. They honored her as the protector of marriage and motherhood, of sexual love and fertility, and as a warrior and storm goddess.
In modern times, Beili is known as Ishtar, and works in a strip club called Suffragette City, passing as a mortal.
She is destroyed, or destroys herself, at the end of Brief Lives #5.
