Hal's address is number 824[2], unspecified street. The landlord rents out spare rooms and lives in the house himself. The house has two floors plus an attic room.
History[]
Hal Carter had been renting out his house at least since 1987. By 1989 it was listed with a roommate agency, which is how Unity Kinkaid's agents were able to rent a room there for Rose Walker on short notice. By that time the house has collected such a peculiar menagerie of tenants that Rose compared it to the Addams Family.[3]
Due to Rose's presence and distress, the house became the centerpoint of a dream vortex, dragging all inhabitants into a shared dream and in many cases traumatizing them.[2]
Half a year after the event, Hal sold his house to Chantal and Zelda and moved "out west".[4]
