Ghosts or Spirits are undead beings, souls of humans (or other beings) who did not go to the afterlife and remain on earth as incorporeal beings.

Description[]

Ghosts are undead spirits of humans who did not go to the afterlife, whether due to unfinished business, curses or by their own will.

Different sources state varying things about who can see ghosts and who cannot. While the Dead Boy Detectives TV series states that only people close to death, magical beings, and older entities can see ghosts, the comics show that children and animals can to see them, while most adults cannot.[1]

When a ghost completes his unfinished business and goes to the afterlife he will go to the place he believes in, if he believes in heaven or hell he will go to one of those places depending on how he was in life but if he has another religion he will go to the place of the dead of that religion like the underworld.

The Seven Rules of Being a Ghost[]

  • Rule #1: If you are a ghost, you can walk through walls, but you can also stop yourself falling though floors.[2]
  • Rule #2: You can touch, stroke, or grab living people, but you can't really feel anything (warmth, hugs) and you don't sleep or eat.[2]
  • Rule #3: You can use ghost objects like disguises, but only when you find them lying around or buy them from secret shops.[2]
  • Rule #4: You can sqwoosh from anywhere to anywhere, but it make some ghosts for instance feel travel sick.[2]
  • Rule #5: You can also travel down ghost roads, which are made of lost ghosts who want to speak to people, tell their truths, but ghost roads are intense and scary, so it's easier to ice-skate along from mirror to mirror.[2]
  • Rule 6: You can send out little un's or emanations from your ghost body, but they're mischievous and hard to control.[2]
  • Rule 7: You can live forever, or at least until Death catches up with you, but you miss out on so much of what living's really about.[2]

Powers and Abilities[]

Ghosts possess many supernatural powers. Not all of them have the same abilities, but many of them share similar powers. Often, a ghost's power will be linked to the way it died.

Common Powers[]

  • Immortality: Ghosts do not age and possess a form of eternal life, since they are no longer truly alive.
  • Invisibility: Ghosts can remain invisible to the living, but they may appear as a blur or faint light. However, when they want, they can appear as they were in life though it takes a while to gain that level of strength. They appear in wispy, distorted, flickering forms. Humans with supernatural powers or who had a near-death or supernatural experience, magical beings or higher entities are able to see them clearly.
  • Intangibility: As incorporeal beings the ghost can pass through solid beings and objects.
  • Posession: All ghost can posess human bodies.
  • Catoptric teleportation: Ghosts are able to teleport long distances through mirrors.
