"Walk any path in Destiny's garden, and you will be forced to choose, not once but many times. The paths fork and divide. With each step you take through Destiny's garden, you make a choice; and every choice determines future paths...The paths diverge and branch and reconnect; some say not even Destiny himself truly knows where any will take you, where each twist and turn will lead."
The Garden of Forking Ways is Destiny's realm. He continually walks its maze-like paths, his book forever chained to his wrist. The garden has many forking paths, and it can be entered through any maze or labyrinth. Another prominent feature of the garden is a set of giant statues of the Endless, which change to reflect their prototypes' current state.
Destiny's residence is within the garden, and the Endless will meet there when they converge as a family, almost without exception. His Gallery is a stone hallway with painted portraits of the Endless on the wall.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The name of the realm alludes to the short story The Garden of Forking Paths by Jorge Luis Borges.
